How To Sell Anything To Anyone (Including Your Art!)
How to sell whatever you want to sell and whoever you want to sell it to; there is a way I am glad to say! Here are a few simple tips to selling your art or indeed anything you choose to, that will make life that bit simpler and the sales process a whole lot more rewarding.
Selling is about benefits. Creating a benefit or solution to meet your
customers need. Let’s take a look at what an art benefit might be to make the point a bit clearer.
People buy benefits and not products. People want solutions to problems and not products. You have to decide what those benefits are for the person who chooses to invest in your art and list them, find what solutions your art may offer. Do you understand?
Look at this from the customer’s point of view or if you’ve purchased a piece of art recently or in the past ask yourself these questions;
- What solutions and benefits did it offer you at the time you purchased it?
- Was it purchased from an artist whose work was starting to go up in value due to greater exposure?
- Was it bought because it suited a particular room?
- Was it bought because you liked the artist?
Write down the reason why someone would benefit from buying your art. Be honest with yourself and you might just find something extraordinary happens; you will realise the true value of your artwork!
The bottom line is that we have to satisfy a need or there is no sale. This is all part of the psychology of selling. So, recognise that and tap into it when learning how to sell your art on the internet.

I’ve been trying to sell my artwork for the longest, but no one seems to want what I have… But I have faith that someone will help a “STARVING ARTIST” such as myself…. Why am I selling my “ARTWORK”? Well, I’m not making enough money to support myself. I’m not making enough money to do the things I want to do. Such as, visiting families and friends back home in the beautiful Island of Jamaica… Been away (21) years and haven’t returned… I am still hopeful that someone, somewhere who is reading this would help me, by purchasing my artwork….. Thanks a lot everyone, and may the LORD GOD bless all of you….
